“When we talk about mental wellness, we are not just focusing on our mental or cognitive functioning, but also our emotions; our social relationships; our ability to function in daily life; and even our spiritual, religious, or existential state.” - From the Global Wellness Institute
“Mental wellness is an internal resource that helps us think, feel, connect, and function; it is an active process that helps us to build resilience, grow, and flourish.” - From the Global Wellness Institute
-
All medical, cognitive, and psychological issues can impact your mental wellness. This includes socioeconomic factors such as the health of your relationships, security of your job, satisfaction with your career, and your family members’ health. If you are finding your mental wellness unsatisfactory, it is likely stemming from one or more of these issues.
-
Together we will develop solutions through education, skilled training, and supportive carryover into your daily life. For more information, please see the services page.
-
Kind Mind OT is currently an Occupational Therapy private practice. Kind Mind OT does not provide psychotherapy. However, most clients will be required to have a psychotherapist, social worker, mental health counselor, etc. actively in their health care team.
-
Not all clients of Kind Mind OT will require having a psychotherapist; this will depend on your medical history, presenting problems, and any concerns identified at your initial session with Kind Mind OT. Should it be identified that psychotherapy is required, a plan will be discussed to help you secure an initial consult with a psychotherapist, social worker, mental health counselor, etc.
-
If you would like Kind Mind OT to courtesy bill your medical insurance, a prescription from a medical physician or APN will be needed for you to get reimbursed from your insurance company. For more information, please see the investment page.
